What to expect
Meet your Roman chefs
You'll step into a welcoming kitchen in the heart of Trastevere, where the aprons are out and the ingredients are ready. A local chef who knows Roman pizza inside out greets your family and walks everyone through the steps. By the end, your little one has earned the title of minipizzaiolo, "little pizza maker" in Italian.
Make your own pizza
This isn't a demonstration: everyone gets their own dough to stretch and shape into their own pie. With a rainbow of toppings in front of you, the rules go out the window, heart-shaped crusts, extra mozzarella, whatever the kids dream up. Your chef shares the tips that give Roman pizza its light, crisp crust along the way.
"The kids take it so seriously. They stretch the dough with their tongue out in concentration, then can't stop grinning when their own pizza comes out of the oven."
Rob,
WalksDevour Rome chef
"I built this after making pizza with my own daughter. That afternoon was pure joy, and I wanted families visiting Rome to have the same thing."
Roberto,
