WalksDevour is the new home of Take Walks and Devour Tours. Two trusted tour companies become one, continuing their shared commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to guests looking for more from every moment.

Who is WalksDevour today?

If you’re looking for Take Walks or Devour Tours, you’re in the right place. After 16 years curating small group, special access tours in cities travelers love, they’ve come together under one new brand, WalksDevour.

Where did Walks and Devour come from?

Stephen Oddo met Jason Spiehler in the late 2000s, when they were both giving day tours of the Vatican. The two guys teamed up with one goal: to create outstanding experiences of Rome. They were the antithesis of big bus tours. Smaller groups. Curated, not catch-all. Immersive and insightful, not superficial. This eventually became Walks of Italy (later Take Walks), which remains a separate brand from WalksDevour, that publishes and maintains its own content. They pioneered iconic tours like the Pristine Sistine, and that groundbreaking spirit remains the same today. Devour Tours Lauren Aloise came to Madrid during the recession in the mid 2000s. She was taken with the city’s astonishingly rich food scene, but saddened that it was struggling to stay afloat. She started Devour as a way to support the mom and pop shops, and create culinary experiences with a true sense of place. Since then, Devour has grown into one of Europe’s leading food tour companies, running the renowned Tapas, Taverns, & History Tour, and expanding beyond Madrid.

“Our tours are a way to learn about more traditional aspects of a country like history, architecture and culture, but through the lens of food.”
