What to expect
The cocktail bar: where the dictatorship was plotted against
You'll start in Príncipe Real at an unassuming bar that doubled as a meeting point for revolutionaries plotting against Portugal's 20th-century dictatorship. Today it's a quiet spot to settle in with the small group and a freshly shaken craft cocktail. Your guide will pour the first wine of the night and bring out two petiscos with unlikely origins: one tied to Lisbon's historic Jewish community, the other to Japanese sailors who reached Portugal in the 1500s.
The miradouro: Lisbon from above, between courses
A short walk through the cobblestone streets of Príncipe Real brings you to one of Lisbon's miradouros, the city viewpoints Lisboetas climb to at sunset. The rooftops fall away below you and the Tagus catches the last of the light. Your guide will point out the landmarks worth knowing and the ones not worth your time. Bring a camera.
If you have dietary requirements or allergies, let us know when you book and we'll work with our partner venues to adapt your tastings. See the FAQs for more details.
"When I send friends out for petiscos in Bairro Alto, I send them to the same wine bar we use on the tour."
