Niagara Falls draws millions of visitors a year, and most of them see it from the same crowded railing. On this Niagara Falls morning tour, your group boards the boat before the public, walks the gorge before the lineups build, and stands behind the curtain of water with the roar still echoing off the rock.

Your morning starts at the Niagara Parks Police Station garden, where your guide meets you in a yellow vest. The first elevator of the day drops you 19 stories into the Niagara Gorge, the river widening below you as the roar gets louder. At the bottom, you'll be personally escorted to the Niagara City Cruises docks before the general public arrives.
With the boat still nearly empty, you pick your spot. The 20-minute cruise pushes toward Horseshoe Falls, where 681,750 gallons of water pour over the edge every second. You'll be glad of the poncho. By the time the boat turns back, your poncho is soaked and the sound of Horseshoe Falls is still ringing.
"When you're the only group in the gorge, you hear the Falls before you see them. Every morning, that sound still stops me."

"You feel the rock vibrating under your feet, and then you step onto the ledge and it's just water, everywhere."
