How long does a full-day London sightseeing tour take?

That depends. If you join us on the 9am tour, you get a skip-the-line ticket to Westminster Abbey, making the tour 8 hours long. If this time doesn’t suit, the tours at the other time slots last 6.5 hours, because you won’t visit the Abbey.

Is a small group London city tour worth it for first-time visitors?

Can I take a bag into Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London?

You can take small bags, but security will check them before you enter. You can’t take knives, scissors, cutlery, screwdrivers, paint, padlocks, chains, climbing gear, whistles, banners, placards, flags and liquids in open containers. Phew, that’s all!

Is the Guard Change ceremony happening the day of my tour?

It depends. If your tour is on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays you’ll see the Changing of the Guard ceremony. It can also be cancelled at any time (royal rules, not ours!). But don’t worry, instead you’ll see Horse Guards Parade, and the Ceremony of the Word at the Tower of London.

How much walking is involved in this tour?

This tour does involve a fair amount of walking, including up steps and on cobbestones, therefore comfortable shoes are a must. Please contact us if you have any questions about whether this tour is a good fit for you.

Our Blue Badge guides will take you through the majestic Gothic nave, unearthing the histories that live between its walls. And, of course, you’ll get a glimpse of the iconic Coronation Chair.

Buckingham Palace: witness a military ceremony

You’ll walk across St James’s Park to the legendary Buckingham Palace. Depending on the time of your tour, you’ll arrive just in time to see a true spectacle of British military tradition—the Changing of the Guard. Otherwise, you’ll see the changing of the King’s Life Guard. Either way, your guide will talk you through the meaning of each motion in this regimental ritual that’s been taking place for hundreds of years.
